After a two year absence because of Covid, the final day of the Royal Cornwall Show drew big crowds and saw the popular event bathed in warm sunshine. One of the highlights was the Shetland Pony Grand National making its debut at the show. The jockeys taking part, aged 8 to 14, are competing to take one of the 11 qualifying places for the London International Horse Show at Olympia this December. The picturesque Church of St. Enodoc is situated in the sand dunes east of Daymer Bay and Brea Hill on the banks of the River Camel. Wind-driven sand has formed banks that are almost level with the church roof on two sides.
