After a cold night on the coast in North Devon, the first colours of the dawn sky reflect in the water as the as the tide recedes to reveal the mudfalts near Northam Burrows close to Appledore. Northam Burrows Country Park lies at the western edge of the Taw Torridge Estuary. UK Weather. Appledore, North Devon, England. After a day of sunshine and showers, the wind picks up as the sun sets behind the Appledore Shipyard. This week InfraStrata announced their plans to reopen the North Devon shipyard in a £7m deal. The shipyard will be renamed Harland & Wolff (Appledore) and will be used by Infrastrata to target five key markets; defence, commercial, renewables, cruise and ferry and oil and gas, hopefully revitalising economic growth in the South West. Exeter Racecourse, Devon, England. Sunday 22nd August 2021. On a day of sunny intervals and a gentle breeze, thirteen hundred racing pigeons are released by the 'Wiltshire and District Federation' at the famous National Hunt Racecourse in Exeter, Devon.
