The Appledore Drive In Book Festival opening night event as Richard Osman and Jeremy Vine take to the stage for a night of discussion about his new highly acclaimed debut crime novel ‘The Thursday Murder Club’. The festival, thought to be the UK’s first-ever drive in book festival, will kick off in earnest on the morning of Friday 18 September and run until Tuesday 22 September with five events each day. The stellar line-up includes producer, presenter and writer, Richard Osman; Loose Women presenter and former Coronation Street star, Shobna Gulati; international best-selling novelist, Adele Parks; award-winning science journalist, Dr. Michael Mosley; actor, former MEP, gay rights campaigner and life peer, Lord Michael Cashman; comedian and broadcaster, Viv Groskop; historian, Susan Ronald; award-winning gardener and BBC Gardener’s World presenter, Mark Lane; broadcaster and commentator, Iain Dale; international novelist, SJ Waston; and, of course, the Festival’s very own patron, author and broadcaster, Jeremy Vine.
