From the top of Porlock hill, by a junction called Whitstone Post, there is a panoramic view over the Porlock Vale towards Porthcawl and Swansea in Wales.
The Lora Doone bronze Statue by professor George Stephenson was presented to the Somerset town of Dulverton by Dr. Whitman Pearson from the USA and can be found on Kemps Way, not far from the medieval Barle Bridge.
